It has long been our desire to have completely recyclable packaging, it’s 2020, easy right? Er! No. Packaging claims about being recyclable has been a bug bear of mine for years, most claims are just untrue or so difficult to implement that they may as well be non recyclable. Ice cream packaging is no different, unfortunately.
Our large containers are plastic and are completely recyclable, however, our retail packs, although recyclable in theory are so difficult to separate that, I’m sure most people don’t bother. 2021 is the year when we can guarantee that our new retail range will be 100% recyclable. It has taken a long time but the last nine months has given us the space to make it happen. If you know someone who wants this guarantee in their business ask them to give us a call.
